The 1916 Company was established by the merging of WatchBox, Govberg, Radcliffe, and Hyde Park Jewelers, with founding company Govberg started in 1916.  It engages in trade, selling new and pre-owned luxury watches online, with offices in the U.S., Europe, Middle East, and Asia. In Hong Kong, The 1916 Company has been in operation since 2017, with most watches trading from USD100,000 to USD3,000,000 or more. In recent years, the company introduced entry level watches, with more watches trading from USD50,000 to USD130,000. Customers purchase online and the company ships watches to customers. “We are doing online click-and-buy business, most of our customers are in North Asia, Southeast Asia and Australia”, said Mr. Simon Yuen, Operation Manager of The 1916 Company Hong Kong.

The 1916 Company generally ships out watches 1-2 business days after a customer makes a purchase. Watches are shipped out from various 1916 offices to customers. In offering a premiere service selling luxury watches online, it needed a convenient and safe shipping service to transport their goods. “We cover each and every one of our shipments because of watches’ high value. Yet we encountered difficulties in the covered amount in the past,” Simon said. “We had two lost shipments in the past two years, both lost when packages arrived at import airport.”
